In 2023, the world is still mourning the loss of Bradley Lowery, a six-year-old boy who captured the hearts of many during his battle with neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer.

Bradley’s bravery and spirit inspired many, and his legacy lives on through the Bradley Lowery Foundation, which supports families who are going through similar struggles.

One unexpected way that Bradley’s memory lives on is through the creation of memes. These humorous images and videos feature Bradley’s adorable face and have become a way for people to remember him and spread awareness about childhood cancer.

The Origin of Bradley Lowery Memes

The first Bradley Lowery meme appeared in 2017, during the time when Bradley was still fighting cancer. It featured a photo of Bradley making a funny face while sitting on his hospital bed, and the caption read, “When the chemo hits you.” The meme quickly went viral, and people started creating their own versions with different captions and images.

After Bradley’s passing in July 2017, the memes continued to spread on social media as a way for people to pay tribute to him. Many of the memes feature Bradley’s smiling face, and the captions often include messages about his bravery and the need for more funding for childhood cancer research.

The Controversy Surrounding Bradley Lowery Memes

While many people see Bradley Lowery memes as a way to honor his memory and raise awareness about childhood cancer, others have criticized them for being insensitive and disrespectful.

Some argue that using a child’s image for humorous purposes is inappropriate, regardless of the intention. Others believe that the memes detract from the seriousness of Bradley’s illness and death.

However, supporters of the memes argue that they are a harmless way to keep Bradley’s memory alive and that he would have loved the attention and laughter they bring.

The Impact of Bradley Lowery Memes

Regardless of the controversy surrounding them, Bradley Lowery memes have had a significant impact on social media and the world at large.

They have helped to raise awareness about childhood cancer and the need for more funding and research. They have also brought joy to many people who have been touched by Bradley’s story.

One person who has been impacted by Bradley Lowery memes is his mother, Gemma Lowery. In an interview with the BBC, she said, “Bradley loved to make people laugh, and I think he would have found the memes hilarious. They are a way for people to remember him and keep his memory alive.”
