The Origin of the Moon Meme
The original version of the Moon Meme featured an astronaut and a dog floating in space, looking back at the Earth. The astronaut then points a gun at the Earth and says “Moon Meme Always Has Been.” The image was originally created by artist K. C. The meme quickly became popular on platforms like Reddit and Twitter, with people creating their own versions featuring different objects and settings. Some of the most popular versions included an astronaut pointing a gun at the United States and saying “Capitalism, Always Has Been,” and a person pointing a gun at a slice of pizza and saying “Pineapple on Pizza, Always Has Been.”
