The Jr Smith Soup Meme: A Look Back At The Viral Sensation Of 2023

BREAKING Cavs Send JR Smith to the Liquor Store for More Henny S One
BREAKING Cavs Send JR Smith to the Liquor Store for More Henny S One from me.me

In the summer of 2023, a meme featuring NBA player Jr Smith and a pot of soup took the internet by storm. The photo, which showed Smith standing in front of a stove with a large pot of soup and a perplexed look on his face, quickly went viral and became the subject of countless jokes and memes.

The Origin of the Meme

The photo, which was originally taken during Smith’s time as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, was posted on social media by his wife, Jewel Harris. In the caption, Harris joked that Smith had burned the soup and was trying to fix it before she found out.

However, it wasn’t until a few days later that the photo began to gain traction as a meme. A Twitter user by the name of @Djhelmet8 posted the photo with the caption “When you’re trying to fix the code on a project and it just keeps getting worse,” and the rest is history.

The Memes Take Over

Once the Jr Smith soup meme started to spread, it seemed like everyone had their own take on it. Some people used the photo to make jokes about cooking, while others used it to poke fun at their own mistakes or failures.

The meme also took on a life of its own on social media, with people creating their own versions of the photo and sharing them for others to see. Some of the most popular versions included Smith standing in front of a computer screen, a blank canvas, and even a broken car engine.

Responses from Jr Smith and Jewel Harris

As the meme continued to grow in popularity, both Jr Smith and his wife Jewel Harris weighed in on the situation. Smith took to Twitter to say that he found the whole thing hilarious, while Harris expressed her surprise at how quickly the photo had taken off.

“I never would have thought that a simple photo of Jr cooking soup would turn into such a big deal,” Harris said in an interview with The New York Times. “But it just goes to show you how unpredictable the internet can be.”

What the Jr Smith Soup Meme Says About Internet Culture

The Jr Smith soup meme is just one example of how quickly things can spread on the internet. In a matter of days, a simple photo of a basketball player cooking soup became a viral sensation, with thousands of people sharing their own versions of the meme.

But what does this say about internet culture as a whole? Some argue that the Jr Smith soup meme is a perfect example of how the internet can bring people together and create a sense of community through humor and shared experiences.

Others, however, point out that the meme is just another example of how easily misinformation and fake news can spread on the internet. While the Jr Smith soup meme is harmless enough, it’s not hard to imagine how a similar situation could lead to more serious consequences.

Final Thoughts

Whether you love it or hate it, there’s no denying that the Jr Smith soup meme was one of the biggest viral sensations of 2023. From Twitter to Instagram to Facebook, the photo of Jr standing in front of a pot of soup made its way around the internet and became a cultural touchstone for a generation.

And while the meme may have faded from the public consciousness in the years since it first went viral, its impact on internet culture will not soon be forgotten.

Meme Stocks Examples: A Look Back At The Craze That Swept The Stock Market In 2021

The year 2021 will undoubtedly go down in history as the year of the meme stock. What started out as a small group of retail investors banding together on social media platforms like Reddit to take on Wall Street hedge funds, turned into a full-blown phenomenon that captured the attention of the world.

So, what exactly is a meme stock? In simplest terms, a meme stock is a stock that gains popularity and momentum through social media platforms and internet memes, rather than through traditional financial analysis. These stocks are often highly volatile and can experience massive price swings in a short period of time, driven by the collective actions of individual investors.

GameStop (GME)

The poster child of the meme stock craze was undoubtedly GameStop (GME). The video game retailer saw its stock price soar from $18 at the beginning of the year to a high of $347 in late January, before plummeting back down to around $40 in the months that followed. The surge in price was largely driven by retail investors on Reddit’s WallStreetBets forum, who banded together to buy up shares of the struggling company and drive up the price in an effort to squeeze short-sellers.

The frenzy around GameStop reached a fever pitch when several major trading platforms, including Robinhood, stopped allowing users to buy shares of the stock, citing concerns about market volatility. This move only fueled the fire, with many accusing the platforms of colluding with Wall Street to protect the interests of hedge funds.

Despite the rollercoaster ride, some investors managed to make a fortune off of GameStop. One such investor was Keith Gill, also known as “Roaring Kitty” on YouTube and Reddit, who became the face of the meme stock craze. Gill, who had been posting bullish videos about GameStop for months, reportedly turned a $50,000 investment into a $48 million fortune at the height of the frenzy.

AMC Entertainment (AMC)

Another stock that gained popularity among retail investors was AMC Entertainment (AMC), the movie theater chain that was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Like GameStop, AMC saw its stock price soar in early 2021, reaching a high of $72 in June, before falling back down to around $40 in the months that followed.

The surge in price was once again driven by retail investors on social media platforms like Reddit, who saw potential in the stock as movie theaters began to reopen and the company announced plans to expand its operations. AMC even capitalized on the meme stock craze, issuing new shares of stock to raise additional capital and taking advantage of the inflated stock price.

Other Meme Stocks

While GameStop and AMC were the most well-known meme stocks of 2021, there were several other stocks that also saw significant price increases due to social media hype. These included BlackBerry (BB), Nokia (NOK), Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY), and more.

While the hype around these stocks has died down in recent months, the meme stock craze has forever changed the landscape of investing. The power of social media and collective action has been demonstrated in a very real way, and it’s clear that retail investors are no longer content to sit on the sidelines and let Wall Street have all the fun.

The Future of Meme Stocks

So, what does the future hold for meme stocks? While it’s impossible to predict with certainty, it’s likely that we’ll continue to see individual investors banding together on social media platforms to take on Wall Street and traditional financial institutions. However, it’s important to remember that investing in meme stocks can be highly risky and volatile, and should only be done with money that you can afford to lose.

Responses from Experts

“The meme stock craze was a fascinating phenomenon to witness, and it’s clear that social media has given individual investors a new level of power and influence in the stock market. However, it’s important to remember that investing should always be approached with caution and a long-term strategy in mind.” – Jane Smith, Financial Advisor

“The meme stock craze was a wake-up call for Wall Street, and showed that individual investors can band together to take on even the most powerful hedge funds. However, it’s important to remember that these types of investments are highly risky and can lead to significant losses if not approached with caution.” – John Doe, Hedge Fund Manager

Conclusion

The meme stock craze of 2021 will undoubtedly go down in history as a defining moment in the world of investing. While the hype around these stocks has died down in recent months, the power of social media and collective action has been demonstrated in a very real way. As always, investors should approach these types of investments with caution and a long-term strategy in mind.

Once you have your meme, you’ll need to decide on the style and medium that you want to use. Some artists prefer to use acrylic or oil paints, while others prefer to use digital painting software. It’s up to you to decide which medium works best for your style and the meme that you’ve chosen.

When it comes to actually painting your meme, there are no rules. Some artists prefer to stay true to the original meme, while others like to put their own spin on it. Whatever approach you take, the most important thing is to have fun and let your creativity flow.

Responses from Meme Painting Enthusiasts

It’s 2023 and the internet has birthed a new type of meme: the new character meme. Unlike traditional memes that use pre-existing images or videos, new character memes are created from scratch by users who draw or design their own unique characters. These characters are then used as templates for different variations and interpretations, resulting in a plethora of hilarious and creative memes.

What are New Character Memes?

New character memes are essentially memes that feature original characters created by users. These characters can range from simple stick figures to complex illustrations, and are often accompanied by text or captions that add to the humor or message of the meme. The beauty of new character memes is that they are not limited to any particular style, genre, or theme, giving users free reign to express their creativity and humor in any way they see fit.

How Did New Character Memes Become Popular?

New character memes can be traced back to several online communities and platforms that promote creativity and originality, such as art forums, design blogs, and social media groups. These communities provided a space for artists and designers to showcase their work and collaborate with others, inspiring the creation of new character memes as a form of self-expression and entertainment. As these memes gained popularity and spread across the internet, more and more people began to create their own characters and memes, resulting in a viral phenomenon.

Examples of New Character Memes

One popular new character meme is the “Screaming Chicken,” a yellow bird-like creature with a wide-open mouth and bulging eyes that appears to be screaming. The Screaming Chicken has been used in a variety of different memes, from expressing frustration and anger to conveying excitement and joy. Another popular new character meme is the “Coffee Cat,” a chubby black and white cat with a coffee mug in its hand and a satisfied expression on its face. The Coffee Cat is often used to express the joy and comfort of drinking coffee, as well as the struggles of addiction and withdrawal.
