Tips for Cleaning Out Your Closet
If you want to participate in the Closet Cleaning Meme, here are some tips to help you get started:
1. Set aside enough time
Cleaning out your closet can be a time-consuming process, so it’s important to set aside enough time to do it properly. Depending on the size of your closet, you may need several hours or even a whole day to complete the process.
2. Take everything out
The first step in cleaning out your closet is to take everything out. This will allow you to see what you have and make decisions about what to keep and what to get rid of.
3. Sort into piles
Once you have taken everything out of your closet, sort your clothes into piles. Make a pile for clothes you want to keep, a pile for clothes you want to donate or sell, and a pile for clothes that need repairs or alterations.
4. Be honest with yourself
When deciding what to keep and what to get rid of, be honest with yourself about what you actually wear and what you don’t. If you haven’t worn something in over a year, it’s probably time to let it go.
5. Organize what’s left
Once you have decided what to keep, organize your clothes in a way that makes sense to you. You may want to organize by color, by season, or by type of clothing.
