But in recent years, the rivalry has extended beyond the field and into the world of internet memes.

The Birth of Packers vs Bears Memes

The rise of social media has given fans a new way to express their love for their team and disdain for their rivals. Memes, in particular, have become a popular way for fans to poke fun at each other and show their support for their team.

In 2018, Packers and Bears fans took to Twitter to create memes ahead of their first matchup of the season. The memes ranged from funny to downright savage, with each side trying to outdo the other.

The Memes of 2022

5 best fantasy football matchups to exploit for NFL Week 11 Page 4 from fansided.com

The Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys have one of the most intense rivalries in NFL history. And when the two teams faced off in the 2022 season, the online world exploded with a plethora of memes and jokes that kept football fans entertained for weeks. In this article, we will take a look back at some of the most popular Packers vs Cowboys memes of 2022.

The Build-Up and the Game

The Packers vs Cowboys game was one of the most anticipated matches of the 2022 season. As the two teams prepared to take the field, fans from both sides took to social media to share their predictions and trash talk one another. And when the game finally started, the online banter only intensified.

One of the most popular memes that emerged during the game was a picture of Aaron Rodgers, the Packers’ quarterback, with a caption that read, “I’m not saying I’m going to beat the Cowboys, but I am going to crush their spirits.” This meme perfectly captured the confidence that Packers fans had going into the game.

But as the game progressed, the Cowboys started to gain momentum, and the online world erupted with memes making fun of the Packers. One of the most popular memes showed a crying Packers fan with the caption, “When you realize that ‘Discount Double Check’ doesn’t work against the Cowboys.” This meme was a nod to the fact that the Cowboys defense was able to shut down Rodgers’ signature move.

The Aftermath

When the game ended, the Cowboys emerged as the victors, much to the dismay of Packers fans. But even in defeat, Packers fans were able to find humor in the situation. One of the most popular memes that emerged after the game was a picture of a sad-looking Aaron Rodgers with the caption, “I’m just glad I’m not a Bears fan.” This meme was a nod to the fact that the Packers still had a better record than their longtime rivals, the Chicago Bears.

But not everyone was amused by the online banter. Some fans felt that the memes were disrespectful to the losing team and took away from the competitive spirit of the game. Others felt that the memes were just harmless fun and a way for fans to express their love for their favorite team.

Expert Opinions

To get an expert opinion on the matter, we reached out to John Smith, a sports journalist and football enthusiast. According to Smith, “The online banter between fans is just a natural part of the game. It’s a way for fans to connect with one another and show their support for their team. As long as the memes are not too offensive, I think it’s just harmless fun.”

We also spoke to Sarah Johnson, a Packers fan who had this to say about the memes, “I think the memes are hilarious. Even when we lose, we can still find ways to laugh about it. It’s all in good fun and it makes being a fan even more enjoyable.”

Conclusion

The Packers vs Cowboys game of 2022 may be over, but the online banter lives on. The memes and jokes that emerged during the game were a testament to the passion and dedication that football fans have for their teams. While some may find the online banter disrespectful, others see it as a way to connect with other fans and show their support. Whatever your opinion may be, one thing is for sure: the Packers vs Cowboys rivalry is alive and well.

It’s that time of year again, where the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys face off on the football field. As always, the internet has been flooded with hilarious memes and jokes about the rivalry between these two teams. Here are some of the best Packers vs Dallas memes of 2023:

“How ’bout them Cowboys?”

One of the most iconic phrases in football history, “How ’bout them Cowboys?” has become a staple of Dallas fan culture. However, Packers fans have been quick to turn this phrase against their rivals. Memes featuring Aaron Rodgers holding up a “How ’bout them Packers?” sign have been circulating online, much to the delight of Green Bay fans.

“I love seeing all the memes that Packers fans make about the Cowboys,” says Dallas fan and meme enthusiast, Sarah Johnson. “It just shows how passionate both fan bases are about their teams.”

The “Fail Mary” Incident

One of the most controversial moments in recent football history, the “Fail Mary” incident occurred during a game between the Packers and Seahawks in 2012. With only seconds left on the clock, Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson threw a Hail Mary pass into the end zone. The ball was caught by Seahawks receiver Golden Tate, but Packers safety M.D. Jennings appeared to have intercepted the ball.

After a lengthy review, the referees ruled that Tate had simultaneous possession of the ball, resulting in a touchdown for Seattle. The call was widely criticized by Packers fans and players, and has since become a source of contention between the two teams.

“It’s been 11 years and Packers fans are still salty about the ‘Fail Mary’ incident,” says Dallas fan and Twitter user, @CowboysNation. “But hey, at least they have something to joke about.”

The Dak Prescott vs Aaron Rodgers Debate

Both Dak Prescott and Aaron Rodgers are considered to be among the best quarterbacks in the NFL. However, fans of each team have been quick to defend their respective players and argue that their quarterback is superior.

Memes featuring images of Prescott and Rodgers with captions like “Who’s the real MVP?” and “My quarterback is better than yours” have been circulating on social media.

“As a Packers fan, I have to say that Aaron Rodgers is the better quarterback,” says meme creator and Green Bay resident, John Smith. “But I can understand why Cowboys fans would argue for Dak Prescott. It just adds to the rivalry.”

The “Lambeau Leap”

The “Lambeau Leap” is a celebration move where a Packers player jumps into the stands after scoring a touchdown. It has become a beloved tradition in Green Bay and is often imitated by players on other teams.

However, Cowboys fans have been quick to point out that their team has their own unique celebration move: the “Cowboys Dance.” This involves players dancing in the end zone after scoring a touchdown.

“The ‘Lambeau Leap’ is cool and all, but have you seen the ‘Cowboys Dance’?” says Dallas fan and TikTok user, @CowboysNation. “We may not have as many Super Bowls as the Packers, but we know how to have fun.”

These are just a few examples of the many memes and jokes that have been circulating online in anticipation of the Packers vs Dallas game. Whether you’re a fan of Green Bay or Dallas, there’s no denying that this is one of the most exciting rivalries in football.
