This meme, which features a photo of a woman holding a coffee cup and looking concerned, has taken the internet by storm. But what is the story behind this viral sensation? Let’s take a closer look.

The Origin of the You Good New York Meme

The You Good New York meme originated in 2020, when a woman named Keisha Johnson was captured on camera looking concerned as she walked past a man who was in distress on a New York City sidewalk. The photo of Keisha quickly went viral, with many people praising her for her compassion and concern.

However, it wasn’t until a few months later that the photo was turned into a meme. In December of 2020, Twitter user @taylornhardy tweeted the photo of Keisha with the caption “You good New York?” The tweet quickly went viral, and the You Good New York meme was born.

The Spread of the You Good New York Meme

Once the You Good New York meme was created, it quickly spread across the internet. People began using the meme to express concern for their friends and loved ones, as well as to poke fun at situations that were not actually serious. The meme even made its way into popular culture, with celebrities like Chrissy Teigen and Cardi B sharing their own versions of the meme on social media.

What People Are Saying About the You Good New York Meme

The You Good New York meme has sparked a range of reactions from people across the internet. Some people love the meme and think it’s a funny way to express concern for others.
