It’s been almost a decade since Waluigi first appeared as an assist trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and yet he still hasn’t been added as a playable character. This has led to a wave of memes and jokes centered around the lanky purple-clad character. In this article, we’ll take a deep dive into the world of Waluigi Smash Bros memes, exploring their origins, their impact on the internet, and what they say about our relationship with video game culture.

Origins of Waluigi

In order to understand the rise of Waluigi memes, we first need to look at the character’s origins. Waluigi was created by Nintendo as a foil to Luigi, and made his first appearance in Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64. Since then, he’s appeared in a number of spin-off titles, but has never been added as a playable character in a mainline Mario game or in Smash Bros. This has led to a sense of frustration and even anger among some fans, who feel that Waluigi has been unfairly overlooked.

The Rise of Waluigi Memes

The first Waluigi memes began to appear shortly after the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl in 2008. Fans were disappointed that Waluigi had only been included as an assist trophy, and began to create memes and jokes about his exclusion. These early memes often played off of Waluigi’s lanky appearance and his love of tennis, and were generally lighthearted and good-natured.

However, as time went on and Waluigi continued to be excluded from Smash Bros, the memes began to take on a more aggressive and even political tone. Some fans began to see Waluigi’s exclusion as a symbol of Nintendo’s disregard for their opinions and desires, and began to use memes as a way of expressing their frustration.

The Impact of Waluigi Memes

Waluigi memes have had a significant impact on internet culture, and have become a staple of online communities such as Reddit and Twitter. They have also been the subject of numerous articles and videos, with some even arguing that the memes have played a role in shaping the way that fans engage with video game culture.

Some fans see the rise of Waluigi memes as a sign of the growing power of fan communities in the video game industry. They argue that the memes represent a form of grassroots activism, and that they have helped to draw attention to issues such as representation and diversity in gaming.

The Future of Waluigi Memes

As we look to the future, it’s clear that Waluigi memes aren’t going anywhere. Even if Nintendo were to finally add Waluigi as a playable character in Smash Bros or a mainline Mario game, the memes would likely continue. They have taken on a life of their own, and have become a way for fans to express their love for the character and their frustration with the industry as a whole.

Some fans have even begun to create their own Waluigi-themed games and mods, using the character as a way of expressing their creativity and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of gaming.

Response from Fans

“Waluigi memes are a way for us to express our love for the character and our frustration with the industry. It’s a way of saying, ‘We see you, Nintendo, and we want more.'”

“I think Waluigi memes have had a real impact on the way that fans engage with video game culture. They’ve shown that we have a voice, and that we can use humor and creativity to make our voices heard.”

“Waluigi memes are hilarious, but they also have a serious side. They’re a way of pushing back against the status quo and demanding more from the industry.”

“I love Waluigi memes because they’re so creative and fun. They show that even when we’re frustrated, we can still find ways to express ourselves and have a good laugh.”

“I think Waluigi memes are a way of reclaiming the character from Nintendo. They’ve taken a character that was created as a joke and turned him into a symbol of our desire for change and representation in gaming.”

The Rise And Fall Of The Waluigi Meme Song: A Retrospective

Back in 2021, the internet was abuzz with the latest craze: the Waluigi meme song. For those who are unfamiliar, the Waluigi meme song was a catchy tune that originated from a TikTok video featuring a Waluigi plushie dancing to a remix of the Super Mario Bros. theme song. The video quickly went viral, and soon enough, people were creating their own versions of the song and sharing them all over social media.

The Birth of a Meme

At first, the Waluigi meme song was just another internet fad. But as more and more people started to create their own versions of the song, it became clear that it was here to stay. Soon enough, the song had taken on a life of its own, with people incorporating it into memes, videos, and even their own original music.

One of the reasons why the Waluigi meme song was so popular was because of its catchy melody. The remix of the Super Mario Bros. theme song was both nostalgic and fresh, and it was impossible not to tap your foot along to the beat.

The Height of the Craze

By the end of 2021, the Waluigi meme song had become one of the biggest memes on the internet. It seemed like everywhere you looked, people were creating new versions of the song and sharing them with their friends.

One of the most popular versions of the song was a remix by a user named DJ Cutman. His remix added new instrumentation and a more modern beat, which made the song even more infectious.

Another reason why the Waluigi meme song was so successful was because of the character himself. Waluigi had always been a bit of an oddball in the Mario universe, and his inclusion in the meme only added to his offbeat charm.

The Beginning of the End

As with all internet memes, the Waluigi meme song eventually began to lose its luster. By mid-2022, people had started to move on to the next big thing, and the song was no longer as ubiquitous as it once was.

However, there were still some die-hard fans who continued to create new versions of the song, and they kept the meme alive for a little while longer.

Responses from Fans

When asked about the Waluigi meme song, many fans had fond memories of the craze. One user on Reddit said, “I loved the Waluigi meme song! It was so catchy, and it always put me in a good mood.”

Another user said, “I think the Waluigi meme song was one of the best memes of all time. It had everything: a catchy tune, a lovable character, and endless possibilities for remixes.”

The Legacy of the Waluigi Meme Song

Although the Waluigi meme song may no longer be as popular as it once was, its legacy lives on. Many of the remixes and covers that were created during the craze are still available on YouTube and other platforms, and they continue to entertain new audiences.

In many ways, the Waluigi meme song was a testament to the power of the internet. It showed that even the most obscure things can become wildly popular if they strike a chord with enough people.

Final Thoughts

Looking back on the Waluigi meme song craze, it’s hard not to feel a little nostalgic. It was a simpler time, when the world was united by a shared love of a catchy tune and a weird little character from the Mario universe.

Although the Waluigi meme song may no longer be a cultural phenomenon, it will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who were there when it all began.

Waluigi Smash Ultimate Meme: A 2023 Review

I did an art of Waluigi's role in the new Smash Mario from www.reddit.com

Waluigi Smash Ultimate Meme: A 2023 Review

Waluigi has been a beloved character in the Mario franchise for years. Fans have been begging for him to be added to the Super Smash Bros. roster for just as long. Finally, in 2018, Waluigi was added to the game as an Assist Trophy. While some were happy to see him included in some way, others were disappointed he wasn’t a playable character. This led to the birth of the Waluigi Smash Ultimate meme.

The Birth of the Meme

The Waluigi Smash Ultimate meme began to take off after the game’s release. Fans were creating memes, comics, and even songs about Waluigi being left out of the roster. The meme played off of the idea that Waluigi was constantly being overlooked and ignored by Nintendo.

One popular meme featured a picture of Waluigi with the caption “Me waiting for Smash Bros. Ultimate to come out so I can play as Waluigi.” The picture showed Waluigi waiting impatiently, while the caption played off of the idea that fans had been waiting for years to play as him.

The Impact of the Meme

The Waluigi Smash Ultimate meme quickly became a viral sensation. It was shared on social media, forums, and even made its way into mainstream media. Fans were using the meme as a way to express their disappointment and frustration with Nintendo’s decision to leave Waluigi out of the game.

The meme also had an impact on the Super Smash Bros. community. Fans began to create custom Waluigi mods for the game, adding him in as a playable character. While these mods were not officially endorsed by Nintendo, they allowed fans to finally play as Waluigi in the game.

The Response from Nintendo

Nintendo has been silent on the Waluigi Smash Ultimate meme. They have not addressed the fan outcry or given any indication that Waluigi will be added to the game as a playable character. However, some fans believe that Nintendo is intentionally ignoring the meme as a way to build hype and anticipation for a future game or announcement.

Others speculate that Nintendo simply doesn’t see Waluigi as a viable character for the game. Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai has stated in the past that he only includes characters that he feels bring something unique to the roster. While Waluigi is a popular character, he may not fit the criteria that Sakurai is looking for.

The Legacy of the Meme

The Waluigi Smash Ultimate meme will go down in internet history as one of the most iconic memes of all time. It gave fans a way to express their love for the character and their disappointment with Nintendo’s decision not to include him in the game. It also showed the power that memes can have in bringing people together and creating a sense of community.

While it’s unclear if Waluigi will ever be added to the Super Smash Bros. roster as a playable character, the meme has created a lasting legacy for the character. Even if he never makes it into the game, Waluigi will always have a special place in the hearts of fans.
