The Origins of “Amigos Traicioneros”

The origins of “Amigos Traicioneros” can be traced back to a viral video that surfaced on social media in 2018. The video, which was filmed in Mexico, shows a group of friends playing a game where they take turns hitting each other on the back. The last person to flinch wins. It wasn’t long before the meme started to spread beyond Mexico and into other parts of the world. People began creating their own versions of the meme, using images of cartoon characters, animals, and even celebrities. The meme usually features two or more characters, with one of them being labeled as the “amigo traicionero.”
