The Rise of Tile Setter Memes
The first tile setter memes began to appear on social media in the early 2010s, as more and more tile setters began to join online communities and share their experiences with one another. At first, these memes were relatively simple – pictures of funny tiling mishaps or clever captions about the difficulties of working with certain materials. But as the trend grew in popularity, tile setters began to get more creative with their content, incorporating pop culture references, inside jokes, and even original artwork.
Today, there are countless websites, social media pages, and online forums dedicated to tile setter memes. These communities provide a space for tile setters to connect with one another, share their experiences, and of course, have a good laugh.
The Appeal of Tile Setter Memes
So why have tile setter memes become so popular among those in the industry? According to those in the know, it’s all about camaraderie. Tiling can be a tough and often thankless job, with long hours, difficult clients, and unexpected challenges. Tile setter memes provide a way for those in the industry to connect with others who understand their struggles, and to find humor in even the most frustrating situations.
“As a tile setter, it can be easy to feel isolated or like you’re the only one dealing with a particular issue,” says John Smith, a tile setter based in Chicago. “But when you see a meme that perfectly captures what you’re going through, it’s like a weight is lifted off your shoulders. You realize that you’re not alone, and that there are other people out there who get it.”
