The Birth of Mega Rayquaza Memes
The first Mega Rayquaza meme to gain traction online was a simple image of the Pokémon with the caption “When you nut but she keep suckin”. The meme, which originated on the website 4chan, quickly spread to other sites like Reddit and Twitter. Despite its crude nature, the meme proved to be incredibly popular and inspired countless variations and spin-offs.
One of the reasons why Mega Rayquaza became such a popular meme was its unique design. The Pokémon is incredibly long and has a serpentine body, which makes it easy to manipulate in Photoshop or other image editing software. Additionally, Mega Rayquaza’s color scheme is striking and memorable, which helped it stand out among other Pokémon memes.
The Evolution of Mega Rayquaza Memes
As with most memes, the Mega Rayquaza meme eventually evolved and branched out into different sub-genres. One popular variation was the “Mega Rayquaza vs. [insert object here]” meme, which involved photoshopping Mega Rayquaza into various scenarios where it was battling against everyday objects like a stapler or a frying pan. Another popular variation was the “Mega Rayquaza as a [insert profession here]” meme, which involved dressing up Mega Rayquaza in different outfits to make it look like it was working in different jobs like a doctor or a construction worker.
Despite the different variations, all Mega Rayquaza memes shared one common trait: they were all designed to be funny and absurd. The humor of the memes came from the fact that Mega Rayquaza is an incredibly powerful and intimidating Pokémon, yet it was being put into silly and mundane situations.
The Impact of Mega Rayquaza Memes
While Mega Rayquaza memes were never mainstream enough to be recognized by the general public, they did have a significant impact on the online community. The memes helped to establish Rayquaza as one of the most popular and recognizable Pokémon, even among people who were not necessarily fans of the games. Additionally, the memes helped to bring together a community of fans who were passionate about Pokémon and internet culture.
One of the most interesting things about Mega Rayquaza memes is that they are still being created and shared today, nearly a decade after the release of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. While the popularity of the memes has certainly died down in recent years, they continue to be a beloved part of internet culture for many people.
