Why Darth Vader and Obi Wan?
The battle between Darth Vader and Obi Wan is one of the most iconic moments in the entire Star Wars franchise. It’s a battle between master and apprentice, mentor and friend, and ultimately, good and evil. But what makes this battle so memorable is the emotional weight that it carries. Obi Wan sacrifices himself to save Luke Skywalker, and in doing so, becomes a Force ghost that helps guide Luke throughout the rest of the series.
But beyond the emotional impact of the scene, there’s something inherently meme-worthy about the battle between Darth Vader and Obi Wan. It’s a battle between two characters who are so iconic that their faces have become synonymous with the franchise. And because they’re such well-known characters, there’s a certain level of comedic potential in putting them in ridiculous situations or having them say absurd things.
The Best Darth Vader Memes Featuring Obi Wan
There have been countless Darth Vader memes featuring Obi Wan over the years, but some have stood out more than others. Here are a few of the most popular:
“Hello There”
One of the most iconic moments in the battle between Darth Vader and Obi Wan is when Obi Wan utters the now-famous line, “Hello there.” This line has become so popular that it’s been turned into a meme in its own right. “I Have the High Ground”
Another iconic moment from the battle is when Obi Wan tells Darth Vader that he has the high ground. This moment has also been turned into a meme, with countless variations showing Obi Wan using his high ground advantage in ridiculous situations.
“Don’t Try It”
In the same scene where Obi Wan tells Darth Vader that he has the high ground, he also warns him not to try to jump over him. Of course, Darth Vader ignores this warning and ends up losing his limbs. This moment has been turned into a meme as well, often involving characters from other franchises making the same mistake that Darth Vader did.
