As we approach the end of 2022, it’s time to look back at some of the funniest and most outrageous Texans memes that have surfaced on the internet this year. From the highs and lows of the NFL season to the latest political scandals, Texans memes have covered it all. Here’s a roundup of the best Texans memes of 2022:

The NFL Season

No year is complete without some drama and controversy on the field, and 2022 was no exception. Texans fans have had to deal with a lot of disappointment this year, and the memes have been a way to cope with the pain. Some of the most popular memes have poked fun at the team’s struggles, with jokes about their losing record and lack of playoff success. One of the most viral memes of the year was a photoshopped image of Deshaun Watson wearing a cowboy hat and holding a lasso, with the caption “Howdy y’all, I’m in Houston for the long haul.” The meme was a nod to the ongoing rumors about Watson’s future with the team, and it quickly spread across social media.

Political Scandals

Texans memes haven’t been limited to the NFL season, either. The state’s political scene has also provided plenty of fodder for internet humor. From Governor Abbott’s controversial abortion law to the ongoing debate over voting rights, Texans have had a lot to say about their elected officials. One popular meme featured a photo of Abbott, with the caption “When you’re the governor of Texas but you’ve never actually been to Mexico.” The meme was a reference to Abbott’s hardline stance on immigration, and it quickly went viral among both conservatives and liberals.

Pop Culture References

Of course, not all Texans memes have been about politics or football. Some of the best memes of the year have been references to pop culture moments that captured the internet’s attention. One of the most popular memes of the year was a mashup of the movie “Dune” and the state’s famous oil industry, with the caption “The spice must flow…in Texas.” Another popular meme was a reference to the popular Netflix show “Stranger Things,” with a photo of the character Eleven holding a can of Dr. Pepper and the caption “Texans when they see a can of Dr. Pepper.” The meme was a nod to the state’s love of the soda, which was created in Texas in the 1880s.

Responses from Texans

Texans have had a lot to say about the memes that have come out of the state this year. Some have found them hilarious and a welcome distraction from the state’s many problems. Others have criticized them for being insensitive or making light of serious issues. One person who enjoyed the memes was Houston resident Sarah Johnson. “I love how Texans can laugh at themselves, even when things are tough,” she said. “The memes have been a way to find some humor in a year that has been pretty rough for a lot of us.” But not everyone has been a fan of the memes. Austin resident Michael Brown said he found them “crass and insensitive.” “I think it’s important to take our problems seriously and not make light of them,” he said.

Conclusion

No matter what your opinion of Texans memes is, there’s no denying that they have been a big part of internet culture in 2022. From the NFL season to political scandals to pop culture references, these memes have covered it all. As we head into 2023, it will be interesting to see what new memes Texans come up with to capture the state’s unique spirit and sense of humor.
