What is the Holy Water Meme BTS?

The Holy Water Meme BTS is a viral trend that started on Twitter and quickly spread to other social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. The meme features a picture of one or more BTS members with a caption that reads “me drinking holy water after seeing [insert BTS member’s name here]”. The meme suggests that seeing a BTS member is such a holy and pure experience that one needs to drink holy water to cleanse themselves.

The meme has been used in various contexts, from fangirling over a BTS member’s visuals to expressing shock at their talent and charisma. It has become a way for ARMY to show their love and admiration for the group in a humorous and relatable way.

How did the Holy Water Meme BTS start?

As with most viral trends, it’s hard to pinpoint the exact origin of the Holy Water Meme BTS. However, some fans speculate that it started with a tweet from a fan account that featured a picture of BTS member Jimin with the caption “me drinking holy water after seeing park jimin’s fancam”. The tweet went viral and inspired other fans to create their own versions of the meme.

Others believe that the meme was inspired by a scene from the Korean drama “Hotel Del Luna”, where the main character drinks holy water after encountering a supernatural being. The scene became a meme in its own right, and some fans may have adapted it to fit BTS-related content.

The Holy Water Meme BTS has been well-received by ARMY, who see it as a fun and creative way to express their love for the group. Many fans have shared their own versions of the meme, featuring their favorite BTS members or inside jokes related to the group.

“I love the Holy Water Meme BTS because it’s a lighthearted way to show my love for the boys. It’s also relatable because I think we all feel the need to cleanse ourselves after seeing how amazing they are,” says Sarah, a BTS fan from the Philippines.

However, some fans have criticized the meme for being blasphemous or disrespectful to religion. They argue that drinking holy water is a sacred ritual in some religions, and using it as a joke diminishes its significance.
