“Baby Yoda Sipping Soup”
One of the biggest memes of the year featured the adorable Baby Yoda, who was first introduced in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian. In this meme, Baby Yoda is seen sipping soup while looking up at the camera with big, innocent eyes. The image quickly took off and was used in a variety of contexts.
“Obi-Wan’s High Ground”
This meme was based on a scene from Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, where Obi-Wan Kenobi has the high ground in a duel against Anakin Skywalker. The meme was often used to mock people who thought they had the upper hand in a situation, only to have it backfire on them.
“Luke Skywalker’s Green Milk”
Another meme that gained traction in 2022 was based on a scene from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, where Luke Skywalker drinks green milk straight from a sea creature’s teat. The image was used in a variety of ways, often to represent something unappetizing or gross.
