The Seattle Seahawks had an eventful 2022 season, with a mix of highs and lows. And as always, Seahawks fans took to the internet to express their feelings through memes. From hilarious reactions to game highlights, to poking fun at the team’s struggles, Seahawks memes were plentiful in 2022. In this article, we’ll take a look at some of the funniest and most popular Seahawks memes of the season.

The Russell Wilson Saga

One of the biggest storylines of the Seahawks’ 2022 season was the ongoing drama with quarterback Russell Wilson. Wilson had been unhappy with the team’s direction and reportedly requested a trade in the offseason. While the Seahawks ultimately decided to keep him, the saga inspired plenty of memes. One popular meme featured a photo of Wilson looking dejected on the sidelines, with the caption “When you realize you’re stuck in Seattle for another year.” Another showed a photoshopped image of Wilson in a Chicago Bears uniform, with the caption “Russell Wilson after realizing he could be playing in Chicago instead.” Interestingly, when asked about the memes during a press conference, Wilson himself said he found them “pretty funny.”

The Defense’s Struggles

The Seahawks defense had a rough season in 2022, and fans didn’t hold back in their memes. One popular meme featured a photo of a confused-looking Pete Carroll with the caption “When you realize the Legion of Boom is never coming back.” Another showed a sad-looking Jamal Adams with the caption “When you give up two first-round picks for a safety who can’t cover.” Despite the struggles, the defense did have some bright spots, which also inspired memes. One fan favorite was a photo of a flexing Bobby Wagner with the caption “When you remember Bobby Wagner is still on this defense.”

The Playoff Push

As the Seahawks fought for a playoff spot late in the season, fans were understandably nervous. But that nervous energy also inspired some great memes. One popular meme showed a sweaty Pete Carroll with the caption “When you realize it’s Week 17 and the playoffs are on the line.” Another featured a photo of a wide-eyed Russell Wilson with the caption “When you remember the Seahawks always find a way to make things interesting.” Ultimately, the Seahawks fell short of the playoffs, but fans still found humor in the situation. One meme showed a photo of a sad-looking Wilson with the caption “When you realize you won’t be throwing any touchdown passes in January.” Another featured a photo of a dejected Jamal Adams with the caption “When you realize you could have stayed with the Jets for this.”
