The Origins of the Nick Saban Crying Jordan Meme
The Nick Saban Crying Jordan meme first appeared in 2018 after the Alabama Crimson Tide lost to the Clemson Tigers in the national championship game. Saban, who is known for his intense demeanor on the sidelines, was caught on camera with tears in his eyes after the loss.
It didn’t take long for the internet to turn Saban’s tears into a meme, and the Crying Jordan meme quickly became the go-to image for anyone looking to poke fun at the legendary coach.
The Meme Takes Over Social Media
As with any viral meme, the Nick Saban Crying Jordan meme quickly took over social media. Fans of rival teams used the meme to taunt Alabama fans, while supporters of the Crimson Tide used it to express their disappointment in the loss.
The meme also caught the attention of sports media outlets, who began using it in their coverage of the game. ESPN even ran a segment on the meme, discussing its origins and its impact on the world of college football.
Response from Nick Saban and Alabama Fans

The Meme Lives On
Despite the backlash from Saban and Alabama fans, the Nick Saban Crying Jordan meme continues to be a popular meme in the world of college football. It has been adapted to fit a variety of situations, and it has even become a popular tattoo design among die-hard fans.
