One of the most popular types of mask memes is the “mask tan” meme. This meme pokes fun at the fact that wearing a mask all day can result in a noticeable tan line around the mouth area. Why are they so popular?

One of the reasons why mask memes have become so popular is that they allow people to make light of a situation that has been incredibly stressful for many. The pandemic has brought so much uncertainty, fear, and grief, but mask memes offer a brief moment of levity in the midst of it all.

Another reason why mask memes are so popular is that they are relatable. Almost everyone has had to wear a mask at some point during the pandemic, so these memes tap into a shared experience that people can bond over.
