In the early days of internet memes, there was the Ahegao face drawing meme. For those who are unfamiliar, the Ahegao face is a lewd or exaggerated expression of pleasure often seen in hentai and anime. This expression became a popular trend in the meme community, with people drawing or photoshopping the face onto various characters or celebrities. However, like many memes, the Ahegao face drawing meme eventually fell out of favor.

The Origin of the Ahegao Face

The Ahegao face has its roots in hentai and anime, specifically in the depiction of female characters experiencing intense pleasure. The face typically features a wide-open mouth, rolled back eyes, and a tongue sticking out. It’s meant to be a comically exaggerated expression of ecstasy.

Over time, the Ahegao face became popular outside of hentai and anime circles. It started appearing in all sorts of memes and fan art, often used to express exaggerated pleasure or surprise. People began drawing the face on their favorite characters or celebrities, creating a whole sub-genre of fan art.

The Popularity of the Ahegao Face Drawing Meme

The Ahegao face drawing meme exploded in popularity on social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Reddit. People loved the over-the-top expression and found it hilarious to see it on unexpected characters. Some even created their own versions of the face, adding their own twists or interpretations.

The meme also sparked controversy, with some arguing that the sexual nature of the Ahegao face was inappropriate or offensive. Others defended it as harmless fun, pointing out that it was often used in non-sexual contexts.

The Decline of the Ahegao Face Drawing Meme

Like all memes, the Ahegao face drawing meme eventually lost its luster. People grew tired of seeing the same expression over and over again, and new memes took its place. The controversy surrounding the meme also contributed to its decline, with some social media platforms cracking down on Ahegao-related content.

However, the Ahegao face still has its fans. Some people continue to use it in their artwork or cosplay, and there are still communities dedicated to the meme.

The Legacy of the Ahegao Face Drawing Meme

Love it or hate it, the Ahegao face drawing meme left its mark on internet culture. It was a prime example of how an obscure anime trope could become a worldwide phenomenon. It also highlighted the power of memes to bring people together and create a shared sense of humor.

Some people have even argued that the Ahegao face drawing meme was a form of feminist expression, reclaiming the female orgasm from male-centric pornography. Others have criticized it as perpetuating harmful stereotypes about women and sexualizing underage girls.

Response from People Who Know It

“I think the Ahegao face drawing meme was hilarious at first, but it quickly became overused and lost its charm. It’s still fun to see it pop up every now and then, but I wouldn’t want to see it become popular again.” – @memelover420

“As someone who enjoys hentai and anime, I think the Ahegao face is a fun and playful expression of sexuality. It’s not meant to be taken too seriously, and I think people who get offended by it are missing the point.” – @weebqueen23

“I can see why people find the Ahegao face drawing meme funny, but as a woman, I find it perpetuates harmful stereotypes about female pleasure. It reduces women to objects of male desire, and I don’t think that’s something we should be celebrating.” – @feministactivist

Conclusion

The Ahegao face drawing meme may have had its moment in the sun, but it will always be remembered as a part of internet history. Whether you loved it or hated it, there’s no denying the impact it had on meme culture and beyond.
