In the world of social media, memes have become a staple for online communication. These humorous images, videos, or pieces of text are shared widely and have the ability to go viral in seconds. Creating your own memes is a fun way to participate in this culture, and it doesn’t require advanced art skills. In this article, we’ll share some tips and tricks for making simple meme drawings that are sure to make people laugh.

Why Simple Meme Drawings are Effective

One of the reasons memes have become so popular is their simplicity. They often feature simple drawings or text overlaid on a photo or video. This makes them easy to create and share, and also makes them more relatable to a wider audience. You don’t need to be an artist to make a great meme – all you need is a good idea and a basic understanding of how to create a simple drawing.

Tools for Creating Simple Meme Drawings

To create a simple meme drawing, you don’t need much in the way of tools. A pen and paper are all you really need, but there are also plenty of digital tools available that can make the process even easier. Some popular options include:

  • Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
  • Canva
  • Pixlr
  • Meme Generator
  • Imgflip

Choosing the Right Image or Video

The image or video you choose for your meme is just as important as the drawing itself. It should be something that is easily recognizable and relatable to your audience. Popular choices include TV shows, movies, and pop culture icons. You can also use your own photos or videos if you have something funny or interesting to share.

Response from a Professional Meme Creator:

“I always start with the image or video first and then work on the drawing. It’s important to make sure the two elements work well together and that the drawing doesn’t detract from the humor of the original image.”

Creating the Drawing

Once you have your image or video, it’s time to create your drawing. This can be as simple or complex as you like, but remember that simplicity is often key. Stick figures, basic shapes, and simple text are all effective tools for creating a meme. If you’re not confident in your drawing skills, there are plenty of resources online that can help you learn the basics.

Response from a Graphic Designer:

“Even if you’re creating a simple drawing, it’s important to pay attention to things like composition and color. A well-designed meme will stand out and be more effective than one that looks sloppy or poorly put together.”

Adding Text and Captions

Text and captions are an important part of any meme. They can add context, humor, and personality to your drawing. When adding text, consider using a font that is easy to read and that fits the tone of your meme. You can also experiment with different text effects, such as outlines or drop shadows, to make your text stand out.

Response from a Copywriter:

“The text you choose can make or break a meme. Keep it short and sweet, and make sure it’s something that will resonate with your audience. Puns and wordplay are always a hit, but be careful not to overdo it.”

Sharing Your Meme

Once you’ve created your meme, it’s time to share it with the world. There are plenty of places online where you can post your creation, including social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. You can also share it on forums or message boards related to your niche. If your meme is really good, it might even go viral and be shared by millions of people!

Response from a Social Media Manager:

“Timing is everything when it comes to sharing your meme. Try to post it when your audience is most active, and don’t be afraid to share it multiple times across different platforms. You never know when something is going to take off.”

Conclusion

Creating a simple meme drawing is a fun and easy way to participate in online culture. With the right tools and a bit of creativity, anyone can create a meme that is both funny and shareable. Whether you’re a professional artist or a casual doodler, there’s no limit to what you can create. So go ahead and give it a try – who knows, your next meme might just go viral!
