That’s where funny Chicago Cubs memes come in.

Memes have become a popular way for fans to express their love for their favorite teams and players. The Cubs are no exception, and there are plenty of hilarious memes out there that capture the ups and downs of being a Cubs fan. In this article, we’ll take a look at some of the best funny Chicago Cubs memes and what makes them so great.

The Best Funny Chicago Cubs Memes

Let’s start with some of the most popular funny Chicago Cubs memes:

“I Ain’t Afraid of No Goat”

This meme is a nod to the infamous “Curse of the Billy Goat,” which was supposedly placed on the Cubs in 1945 by a tavern owner who was kicked out of Wrigley Field with his pet goat. The curse was said to prevent the Cubs from winning a World Series, and it lasted for over 70 years until the Cubs finally broke it in 2016. This meme pokes fun at the curse and shows that Cubs fans aren’t afraid of a little superstition.

“Theo Epstein’s Master Plan”

Theo Epstein was the Cubs’ president of baseball operations from 2011 to 2020 and is credited with building the team that won the World Series in 2016. This meme shows Epstein as a mastermind with a complicated plan to bring the Cubs to victory. The humor comes from the fact that Epstein is often seen as a genius in the baseball world, but this meme takes it to the extreme.

“Cubs Fans vs. White Sox Fans”

This meme is a playful rivalry between Cubs fans and White Sox fans, who are the other Chicago-based team. The meme shows that Cubs fans are often seen as more loyal and dedicated, while White Sox fans are seen as fair-weather fans who only show up when the team is doing well. Of course, this is all in good fun, and both fanbases have their own quirks and traditions.

Why Are These Memes So Popular?

So, what is it about funny Chicago Cubs memes that makes them so popular? One reason is that they capture the unique experience of being a Cubs fan. As we mentioned earlier, being a Cubs fan can be a rollercoaster of emotions, and these memes help fans cope with the ups and downs of the season.
