If you’re from Baltimore or have spent any time in the city, you know that it’s a unique place with its own culture, quirks, and of course, sense of humor. One way that Baltimoreans express their humor is through memes, which are funny images or videos that are shared online. In this article, we’ll take a look at some of the funniest Baltimore memes that have been circulating on the internet. Get ready to laugh!

The Crabby Side

One thing that Baltimore is famous for is its seafood, especially its crabs. It’s no surprise, then, that many Baltimore memes feature crabs in some way. One popular meme is a picture of a crab with the caption “I’m not arguing, I’m just explaining why I’m right.” Another one shows a crab with the caption “I don’t always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer Natty Boh.” These memes play off of the stereotypes of Baltimoreans as being crabby and beer-loving.

“I love these crab memes,” says Baltimore native and meme enthusiast Rachel. “They’re so funny because they’re so true. Baltimoreans really do love their crabs and their beer.”

The Hon-est Truth

“Hon” is a term of endearment that is unique to Baltimore. It’s short for “honey” and is often used by older women to address each other. The term has become so ingrained in Baltimore culture that it’s not uncommon to see businesses with “Hon” in their name or to hear people use the word in casual conversation. It’s also a popular subject for Baltimore memes.

One of the most well-known Hon memes features a picture of a woman with a beehive hairdo and the caption “You know you’re from Baltimore when you think this is a normal hairstyle.” Another one shows a picture of a flamingo with the caption “Baltimoreans when they see a flamingo: ‘Oh, look, a hon in the wild!'”

“I think the Hon memes are hilarious,” says Baltimore transplant and meme fan Sarah. “When I first moved here, I had no idea what ‘hon’ meant, but now I use it all the time. It’s just one of those things that makes Baltimore special.”

The Crime Scene

One of the unfortunate things that Baltimore is known for is its high crime rate. While this is a serious issue, some Baltimoreans have found a way to poke fun at it through memes.

One popular meme features a picture of a police car with the caption “Baltimore police: We solve crimes faster than HBO can make documentaries about them.” Another one shows a picture of a man holding a gun with the caption “Baltimore’s version of a traffic jam.”

While some people might find these memes in poor taste, others see them as a way to cope with a difficult reality.

The Quirky Charm

One of the things that makes Baltimore such a great city is its quirky charm. From the colorful rowhouses to the unique local businesses, there’s something about Baltimore that just feels different from other cities. And of course, there are plenty of memes that celebrate that quirky charm.

One popular meme features a picture of a rowhouse with the caption “Baltimore: where every house looks like it’s straight out of a Wes Anderson movie.” Another one shows a picture of a storefront with the caption “Baltimore: where you can buy a sandwich, a pack of cigarettes, and a live chicken all in the same store.”

“I think the quirky Baltimore memes are my favorite,” says Rachel. “They really capture the essence of the city and what makes it so special.”

The Bottom Line

Whether you’re a Baltimore native or a transplant, there’s no denying that the city has a unique sense of humor. From crabs to hons to crime, there’s no shortage of material for Baltimore memes. So the next time you need a good laugh, just remember: there’s a Baltimore meme for that.
