Since the release of the fifth edition of Dungeons and Dragons, the Tabaxi race has been a fan favorite for players and DMs alike. With their feline features and agility, it’s no surprise that Tabaxi characters have become the center of many memes in the DND community. In this blog, we’ll explore some of the funniest and most popular Tabaxi memes, as well as tips for incorporating them into your own games.
What are Tabaxi?
For those unfamiliar with the Tabaxi race, they are humanoid creatures with cat-like features such as fur, claws, and pointy ears. They are known for their speed and dexterity, making them ideal for roles such as rogues or monks. Tabaxi characters also have a natural curiosity and love for exploration, which can lead to some interesting roleplaying opportunities.
The Best Tabaxi Memes
One of the most popular Tabaxi memes is the “I Can Haz Cheeseburger” reference. This meme features a Tabaxi character eagerly asking for a cheeseburger, much like the famous lolcat meme. Another popular meme features a Tabaxi saying “I’m not a cat!” in response to being treated like one by their party members. This meme plays on the fact that while Tabaxi may look like cats, they are still intelligent and capable beings.
Another popular Tabaxi meme involves their natural curiosity. One meme features a Tabaxi character investigating a trap or puzzle, saying “I must touch it.” This meme plays on the stereotype that Tabaxi characters cannot resist the urge to touch and explore everything around them.

How to Incorporate Tabaxi Memes into Your Game
If you want to incorporate Tabaxi memes into your own games, there are a few ways to do so. One option is to have NPCs react to Tabaxi characters in a stereotypical way, such as mistaking them for regular cats. This can lead to some funny roleplaying moments and also highlight the unique nature of the Tabaxi race.
You can also have Tabaxi characters make references to popular cat memes or sayings, such as “I can haz treasure?” or “I’m in ur dungeon, stealin’ ur loot.” This can add some levity to tense situations and also make the Tabaxi character feel more fleshed out and relatable.
