It’s been almost a decade since the first screaming goat meme was born, but it’s still going strong in 2023 – especially with the recent resurgence of interest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And now, a new variant of the meme has emerged: Screaming Goat Meme Thor.

What is Screaming Goat Meme Thor?

For those who aren’t familiar with the screaming goat meme, it’s a viral sensation that involves superimposing the sound of a goat’s bleat onto various videos. The result is often hilarious and unexpected, and has been applied to everything from pop songs to movie scenes.

Screaming Goat Meme Thor takes this one step further by applying the goat sound to scenes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe that feature Thor, the god of thunder. Specifically, it’s been used on moments where Thor is yelling or roaring, making the goat bleat sound like it’s coming from his mouth.

How Did Screaming Goat Meme Thor Start?

The origins of Screaming Goat Meme Thor are a bit murky, but it seems to have started with a fan-made video that combined the goat sound with a scene from Thor: Ragnarok. The video quickly went viral, with many people finding it hilarious and sharing it on social media.

From there, the meme took on a life of its own. Fans began creating their own versions of the meme, applying the goat sound to different Thor scenes and sharing them online. Some of the most popular ones include a scene from Avengers: Infinity War where Thor yells “Bring me Thanos!”, and a scene from Thor: Ragnarok where he screams “I’m not a queen or a monster, I’m the goddess of death!”

Why is Screaming Goat Meme Thor So Popular?

Part of the reason for the popularity of Screaming Goat Meme Thor is simply that it’s funny. There’s something inherently absurd about a majestic godlike figure like Thor making goat noises, and the contrast between his imposing physical presence and the silly sound makes for a great comedic effect.

But there’s also a sense of nostalgia and affection for the Marvel Cinematic Universe that’s driving the popularity of the meme. With the release of Avengers: Endgame in 2019, the original arc of the MCU came to a close, leaving many fans feeling a sense of loss and longing for more content. Screaming Goat Meme Thor is a way for fans to keep the spirit of the MCU alive, even as they wait for new movies and TV shows to come out.

What Are People Saying About Screaming Goat Meme Thor?

As with any meme, there are a variety of opinions about Screaming Goat Meme Thor. Some people love it and find it hilarious, while others are less amused. Here are a few examples:

“I don’t really get why this is so popular. It’s just a stupid goat noise. I guess I’m just old and out of touch.” – @grumpygrandpa

“As a longtime fan of the MCU, I think this meme is a great way to keep the characters and stories alive in between movies. Plus, it’s just plain funny.” – @marvelmaven

How Can You Make Your Own Screaming Goat Meme Thor?

If you’re interested in creating your own version of Screaming Goat Meme Thor, it’s actually pretty easy. All you need is a video editing app that allows you to add sound effects, and a clip from a Thor movie or TV show where he’s yelling.

Once you have those two things, you simply need to add the goat bleat sound effect to the clip at the appropriate moment. There are plenty of goat sound effects available online, or you can record your own if you happen to have a goat handy.

Once you’ve created your meme, you can share it on social media with the hashtag #ScreamingGoatMemeThor to join in on the fun.
