In 2023, the internet is still buzzing about Sasikala Natarajan memes. For those who may not know, Sasikala Natarajan is a former political figure in India who served as the general secretary of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) party. She was a close associate of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, and after Jayalalithaa’s death, Sasikala tried to take over the party. However, she was eventually jailed on corruption charges.
Despite her fall from grace, Sasikala remains a popular subject for memes. In fact, some people say that she has become one of the most meme-able figures in Indian politics.
The Origins of Sasikala Natarajan Memes
It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when Sasikala Natarajan memes started appearing on the internet, but it’s likely that they began to gain traction after her arrest in 2017. At that time, her name was all over the news, and people were talking about her a lot on social media.
Some of the earliest Sasikala memes poked fun at her close relationship with Jayalalithaa. For example, one meme showed Sasikala sitting on a throne, with Jayalalithaa kneeling at her feet. Another showed Sasikala holding a leash with Jayalalithaa on the other end.
The Evolution of Sasikala Natarajan Memes
As time went on, Sasikala memes became more varied and elaborate. Some focused on her physical appearance, with people making fun of her hair, clothes, and jewelry. Others played off her attempts to take over the AIADMK party, with memes showing her as a power-hungry villain.
One popular Sasikala meme format involves taking a well-known movie scene or song and adding Sasikala’s face to it. For example, there’s a meme that shows Sasikala as the main character from the movie “Baahubali,” with the caption “Sasikala the Conqueror.”
The Impact of Sasikala Natarajan Memes
While some people may see Sasikala memes as harmless fun, others argue that they are disrespectful and inappropriate. Some critics point out that Sasikala is a real person who has faced serious legal troubles, and that making fun of her is not fair or kind.
On the other hand, some people argue that Sasikala is a public figure who has put herself in the spotlight, and that she should be able to handle a little bit of teasing. They say that memes are a form of satire and political commentary, and that they help to keep powerful people accountable.
