The “I’m Not Toxic, I’m Passionate” Meme
This meme started with a player who was known for being extremely toxic in-game. They would flame their teammates, blame everyone but themselves for losses, and generally make the game less enjoyable for everyone else. But when called out for their behavior, they would always say the same thing: “I’m not toxic, I’m passionate.” This led to a flood of memes featuring the phrase, often accompanied by a picture of a raging player. Response: “I’ve definitely encountered a few players like that. It’s funny to see it turned into a meme.”
The “Buff Riven” Meme
Riven has always been a popular champion, but in 2022, she was in a particularly weak state. Players who loved playing her were frustrated by her low winrate and lack of impact in games.
