What are Funny Guy Memes?
Funny guy memes are a type of internet meme that takes a scene or image from a film, TV show, or other media and adds humorous text to it. The text usually changes the context of the original scene, creating a new, humorous interpretation.
In the case of Goodfellas, the funny guy memes usually feature one of the film’s most iconic scenes: the dinner table conversation between Henry Hill, Jimmy Conway, Tommy DeVito, and Tommy’s mother. In this scene, Tommy tells a story about a funny guy who gets killed for being too funny. The other characters laugh along, but the mood turns serious when Tommy becomes angry and confrontational.
But in the world of funny guy memes, the scene takes on a whole new meaning. The text added to the scene often features jokes about everyday situations, such as dealing with annoying coworkers or trying to get out of a social engagement. The humor comes from the contrast between the serious tone of the original scene and the lighthearted, relatable text added to it.
