What is Creative Memento?
Creative memento is the practice of preserving memories in unique and creative ways that go beyond traditional photo albums. It involves using a variety of materials, such as scrapbooking supplies, journals, art supplies, and other keepsakes, to capture and preserve memories.
According to creative memento enthusiast, Sarah Jones, “The beauty of creative memento is that it allows you to express your creativity while preserving memories. It’s a fun and rewarding way to relive your favorite memories and create something beautiful in the process.”
Why is Creative Memento Important?
While photographs are a great way to preserve memories, they can become lost or damaged over time. Creative memento provides a more tangible way to preserve memories and make them last for generations to come.
Additionally, creative memento can help us process our emotions and feelings associated with a particular memory. By taking the time to create something meaningful, we can reflect on our experiences and gain a deeper understanding of ourselves.

1. Choose a Theme
Start by choosing a theme for your creative memento project. This could be a particular event, such as a wedding or vacation, or a theme based on a particular person or relationship.

Once you’ve chosen a theme, gather materials that fit the theme. This could include scrapbooking paper, stickers, washi tape, or other decorative items. You’ll also want to gather any keepsakes or memorabilia that you want to include in your memento.
3. Plan Your Layout
Before you start creating, plan out your layout. This will help you visualize how you want your memento to look and ensure that you have all the necessary materials.
