In 2023, the Dallas Cowboys are still one of the most talked-about teams in the NFL. While they have a passionate fanbase, they also have a lot of haters. It’s no surprise that there are countless memes on the internet that poke fun at America’s Team. Here, we’ll take a look at some of the funniest memes about the Dallas Cowboys.
The Infamous “Dez Caught It” Meme
If you’re a Cowboys fan, you’re probably sick of hearing about the infamous “Dez caught it” play. In the 2014 playoffs, the Cowboys were facing off against the Green Bay Packers. Late in the game, Tony Romo threw a pass to Dez Bryant that appeared to be a catch, but the referees ruled it incomplete. The call was controversial and sparked a lot of debate.
Ever since that game, Cowboys fans have been using the “Dez caught it” meme to express their frustration. The meme typically features a picture of the play with the caption “Dez caught it” or some variation of that. Even non-Cowboys fans have gotten in on the fun, using the meme to troll Cowboys supporters.
Responses from Cowboys Fans:
“I’m so tired of seeing this meme. It’s been years, let it go already.” “I’ll never forget that play. Dez definitely caught it.” “I hate this meme, but I have to admit that it’s pretty funny.”
The Cowboys’ Playoff Struggles
The Cowboys have been one of the most successful teams in NFL history, but their playoff record leaves a lot to be desired. They’ve only won two playoff games since 1996, which has led to a lot of memes about the team’s inability to perform in the postseason.
One popular meme features a picture of a Cowboys player with the caption “I’m just here so I won’t get fined.” This meme is a reference to a quote from former Seattle Seahawks player Marshawn Lynch, but Cowboys fans have used it to express their frustration with the team’s playoff struggles.
Responses from Cowboys Fans:
“It’s so frustrating to see the team struggle in the playoffs year after year.” “I’m still hopeful that we’ll turn things around in the postseason.” “I hate this meme, but I have to admit that it’s accurate.”
The Cowboy’s Defense
The Cowboys have had a lot of success on offense in recent years, but their defense has been a weak point. This has led to a lot of memes about the team’s defensive struggles.
One popular meme features a picture of the Cowboys’ defense with the caption “We don’t always give up 30 points, but when we do, we make sure to give up 40.” This meme is a reference to the team’s tendency to give up a lot of points in games.
Responses from Cowboys Fans:
“Our defense needs to step up if we want to make a deep playoff run.” “I hate seeing these memes, but I can’t deny that our defense has been struggling.” “I still believe in our defense, but they need to improve.”
The Cowboys and Jerry Jones
Jerry Jones is one of the most controversial owners in the NFL, and the Cowboys are often seen as his team. This has led to a lot of memes about Jones and his influence on the team.
One popular meme features a picture of Jones with the caption “When you own the team and the coach.” This meme is a reference to Jones’ tendency to meddle in the team’s affairs, even when it’s not necessary.
Responses from Cowboys Fans:
“Jerry needs to let the coaches do their jobs.” “I hate seeing these memes, but I have to admit that Jerry can be frustrating.” “I still support Jerry, but he needs to take a step back.”
