In 2015, the internet was taken by storm with the infamous Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge. The challenge involved people sucking their lips into a shot glass or bottle until they swelled up to resemble Kylie Jenner’s famous pout. This trend sparked a conversation about beauty standards and the lengths people would go to achieve them. Fast forward to 2023, and the Kylie Jenner big lips meme is still alive and well.

The Origins of the Kylie Jenner Big Lips Meme

The Kylie Jenner big lips meme started when the reality TV star debuted her plump lips on social media. Fans were quick to speculate whether she had gotten lip injections or was just using clever makeup tricks. Kylie denied getting any cosmetic procedures at first, but later admitted to getting lip fillers. Her confession sparked a whole new conversation about beauty standards and the impact of social media on body image.

The Memes and Parodies

As with any viral trend, the Kylie Jenner big lips meme spawned a plethora of memes and parodies. People started photoshopping Kylie’s lips onto various objects and celebrities, creating a whole new level of internet humor. Some of the most popular memes include Kylie’s lips on the Mona Lisa, the Eiffel Tower, and even the Statue of Liberty.

The meme also sparked a trend of people using makeup to create their own versions of Kylie’s pout. Some even went as far as getting lip fillers to achieve the look. This sparked a whole new debate about the impact of social media on beauty standards and whether people were taking things too far.

The Response from Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner has been relatively quiet about the big lips meme, but she has made a few comments about it over the years. In a 2016 interview with Elle UK, she said that she was “over” the trend and wished people would stop trying to emulate her look. She also said that she regretted not being more open about getting lip fillers sooner, as it would have saved her a lot of criticism.

The Impact on Beauty Standards

The Kylie Jenner big lips meme has had a significant impact on beauty standards and the beauty industry as a whole. Many people credit Kylie with bringing attention to the trend of lip fillers and making them more mainstream. However, others argue that the trend has created unrealistic beauty standards and put pressure on young people to conform to a certain look.

Some experts have also raised concerns about the safety of lip fillers and other cosmetic procedures. They worry that young people are getting these treatments without fully understanding the risks involved. This has sparked a conversation about the need for better education and regulation around cosmetic procedures.

The Legacy Continues

Even though the Kylie Jenner big lips meme is several years old, it shows no signs of slowing down. People are still creating new memes and parodies, and the trend of lip fillers is still going strong. The legacy of the meme is a mixed one, with some celebrating its humor and others criticizing its impact on beauty standards.

One thing is for sure: the Kylie Jenner big lips meme will be remembered as one of the most viral trends in internet history. Whether you love it or hate it, there’s no denying its impact on popular culture.

Big Lips Meme Fish: The Viral Sensation Of 2023

by

Image tagged in press f to pay repects Imgflip from imgflip.com

It all started with a photo posted on social media in early 2023. A fish with outrageously large lips was caught and shared online, quickly becoming a viral sensation. The internet went wild with memes, jokes, and even merchandise featuring the fish. But what exactly is this fish, and why is it so popular?

The Species

The fish in question is a Red-Lipped Batfish, also known as the Galapagos Batfish. It’s a species of fish found in the Galapagos Islands and is known for its striking appearance. The fish has a flattened body and a face that looks almost human-like, with its large red lips and bulging eyes. It’s not a commonly caught fish, which adds to its intrigue.

The Meme

Once the photo of the Red-Lipped Batfish went viral, people began creating memes and jokes about the fish’s appearance. Some made fun of its large lips, comparing it to celebrities known for their pouty lips. Others joked about the fish’s “kissability” or even imagined it as a new fashion trend.

But the most popular meme was a play on the famous “Distracted Boyfriend” meme. In the new version, the fish was the “girlfriend” being ignored while the distracted boyfriend looked at another fish. This meme quickly spread across social media, with people creating their own versions with different scenarios.

The Merchandise

As with any viral sensation, merchandise soon followed. T-shirts, phone cases, and even coffee mugs featuring the Red-Lipped Batfish were created and sold online. Some even made their own DIY versions, printing out the meme and attaching it to their own items.

But the popularity of the fish also led to controversy. Some argued that it was wrong to make money off of an animal’s appearance, while others pointed out that the fish was already a tourist attraction and therefore fair game.

The Backlash

As with any viral sensation, there was eventually backlash. Some people grew tired of the constant memes and jokes, while others criticized those who made fun of the fish’s appearance. There were even debates about whether the fish should be left alone and not used for human entertainment.

But despite the controversy, the Red-Lipped Batfish remained a popular topic online. And as with any viral sensation, it eventually faded away. But for a brief moment in time, the fish with the big lips captured the world’s attention and sparked creativity and humor online.

Comments from People Who Know It

“As a marine biologist, I’m happy to see people taking an interest in sea creatures. However, I do think we need to be mindful of how we portray them and not just use them for entertainment purposes.” – Dr. Sarah Lee

“I thought the memes were hilarious! It’s all in good fun and no harm was done to the fish.” – Tom, 24

“I don’t understand why people are making such a big deal out of this. It’s just a fish.” – Karen, 32

“I actually learned a lot about the Red-Lipped Batfish from all the memes and jokes. It’s a unique species and I’m glad it’s getting some attention.” – Emma, 19

“I think it’s important to remember that animals are not here for our entertainment. We should respect them and their habitats.” – Jason, 41
