Kevin Hart is known for his quick wit and sharp comebacks, so it’s no surprise that he created a meme that perfectly encapsulates his comedy style. The image comes from a segment in “Let Me Explain” where Hart is talking about his divorce and how people were constantly asking him about it. The Memes Go Viral

Whether someone was asking about their relationship status or their job search, the “Mind Your Damn Business” meme provided a snappy response that shut down the conversation.
Soon, the meme was popping up all over social media. It was adapted to fit different scenarios, such as when someone is asking about your diet or your political views. Some people even made their own versions of the meme with different celebrities or characters, but the Kevin Hart original remained the most popular.
Why It Works
Part of what makes the “Mind Your Damn Business” meme so effective is its universality. Everyone has had a nosy person in their life, whether it’s a family member, coworker, or stranger on the street. The meme provides a way to express frustration with these people without getting into a heated argument.

With social media and constant connectivity, it can be difficult to maintain personal space and keep certain information private. The “Mind Your Damn Business” meme is a way for people to push back against this and assert their right to keep some things to themselves.
