In 2012, comedy duo Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele debuted their sketch comedy series, Key & Peele, on Comedy Central. The show quickly gained popularity for its hilarious and often incisive commentary on race, politics, and pop culture. But perhaps no sketch from the show has had a more lasting impact than “Noice.”

The Birth of “Noice”
The “Noice” sketch first aired in the show’s second season, and it quickly became one of the show’s most beloved recurring bits. The sketch features Key and Peele as two excessively macho, inept police officers who pepper their speech with the word “noice” instead of “nice.”
The sketch is a perfect example of Key and Peele’s signature humor, which often involves taking a familiar trope or stereotype and turning it on its head. In this case, they’re poking fun at the hyper-masculine cop archetype, while also creating a silly catchphrase that fans would be quoting for years to come.
The Rise of the “Noice” Meme
Thanks to the power of the internet, the “Noice” sketch quickly became a viral sensation. Fans started creating memes and remixes of the sketch, and the catchphrase “noice” started popping up in all sorts of online communities.
One of the most popular “Noice” memes features a still from the sketch, with the word “noice” written in big, bold letters. This meme has been used to express excitement or approval, and it’s become a staple of internet culture.
