The Origins of the Cougar Meme Template
The original cougar meme template featured a photo of a middle-aged woman with the caption “cougar” written in bold letters. The woman in the photo had a seductive look on her face, which was meant to imply that she was on the prowl for a younger man. The meme was often used to make fun of women who were perceived as desperate or pathetic for seeking out younger partners.
While the cougar meme template was initially popular among younger men, it eventually gained traction among women as well. Some women embraced the label of “cougar” as a way of reclaiming their sexuality and defying societal norms that dictate that older women should not be sexual beings.
The Evolution of the Cougar Meme Template
Over time, the cougar meme template began to evolve beyond its original purpose of mocking older women. As internet culture became more diverse and inclusive, the meme was adapted to suit a variety of different contexts. For example, the cougar meme template was used to mock politicians who were seen as out of touch with modern trends, or to poke fun at people who were overly attached to their smartphones.
As the cougar meme template became more popular, it began to appear in a variety of different formats. Some memes featured the original photo with new captions, while others used different images of cougars or older women. Some memes even used images of young men with captions implying that they were the ones being pursued by older women.
How to Use the Cougar Meme Template
If you’re thinking of using the cougar meme template for your own purposes, there are a few things to keep in mind. First and foremost, it’s important to be aware of the potential for the meme to be interpreted as sexist or ageist.
