The Early Days of Kanye Memes on Reddit
Back in the mid-2010s, Kanye memes on Reddit were mostly focused on his public outbursts, such as his infamous “Imma let you finish” moment at the VMAs. These memes often featured images of Kanye interrupting other famous figures, or captions that riffed on his tendency to speak his mind.
One classic example is the “Kanye West Doesn’t Care About…” meme, which originated on Reddit in 2010. The meme featured a photo of Kanye looking uninterested or bored, with a caption that began with the phrase “Kanye West doesn’t care about…”. Users would then fill in the blank with a humorous or absurd statement, such as “Kanye West doesn’t care about grammar” or “Kanye West doesn’t care about Pokemon.”
