In the early 2020s, a meme known as “Wake Up Suzie” went viral across social media platforms. The meme featured a still image of a young girl with her eyes closed, accompanied by the text “Wake up Suzie, we’ve got a show to do.” The origins of the meme are unclear, but it quickly gained traction and became a staple in internet culture.

The Spread of the Meme

Many users added their own captions to the image, creating a variety of humorous and relatable scenarios. The meme also gained attention from popular meme accounts, which helped to further its reach.

The meme’s popularity was fueled by its relatability. The image of a sleepy-eyed girl being woken up to perform a task or attend an event resonated with many people. It became a shorthand for the feeling of being forced to do something when you’re not quite ready.
