What is the Ratthew Meme?

The Ratthew meme features a photo of a young boy named Matthew holding a rat. The photo was taken by Matthew’s mother and shared on social media, but it wasn’t until it was turned into a meme that it became widely known.

The meme often features Matthew’s face photoshopped onto various animals, including rats, and is accompanied by captions that play on the word “rat.” Some examples include “You little rat!” and “Stop ratting me out.”
