The release of the Google Pixel 3 XL in 2018 was met with mixed reviews. While the phone boasted impressive features and a sleek design, there was one aspect that left many users scratching their heads: the notch. The notch, a small cutout at the top of the phone’s screen, was meant to house the phone’s front-facing camera and sensors. However, many users found the notch to be unsightly and distracting. And thus, the Pixel 3 XL notch memes were born.

A Brief History of the Notch

The notch wasn’t unique to the Pixel 3 XL. In fact, it had been introduced by Apple on the iPhone X in 2017. The notch was meant to allow for a larger screen size while still housing the phone’s front-facing camera and sensors. While some users found the notch to be a necessary design element, others found it to be a distraction from the phone’s otherwise sleek design. When Google announced that the Pixel 3 XL would also feature a notch, many users were disappointed. The notch on the Pixel 3 XL was larger than the one on the iPhone X, and it seemed to be more prominent on the phone’s screen. And so, the internet responded in the only way it knows how: with memes.

The Funniest Pixel 3 XL Notch Memes

There were countless memes created in response to the Pixel 3 XL’s notch. Some were simple jokes, while others were elaborate works of art. Here are just a few of the funniest Pixel 3 XL notch memes:

The “Unibrow” Meme

One of the most popular memes was the “unibrow” meme. This meme compared the Pixel 3 XL’s notch to a unibrow on a person’s face. The meme often featured a photo of a person with a thick unibrow, with the caption “Pixel 3 XL confirmed.”

The “Notchception” Meme

Another popular meme was the “Notchception” meme. This meme played off the movie Inception, with the Pixel 3 XL’s notch appearing in increasingly smaller sizes within the phone’s screen. The meme often featured the tagline “We need to go deeper.”

The “Pixel 3 XL vs. Tic Tac” Meme

This meme compared the size of the Pixel 3 XL’s notch to a Tic Tac candy. The meme often featured a side-by-side comparison of the two, with the caption “Pixel 3 XL: Now with Tic Tac sized notch!”

Responses from the Community

While the Pixel 3 XL notch memes were certainly hilarious, not everyone found them to be amusing. Some users felt that the memes were mean-spirited and that they unfairly targeted the Pixel 3 XL. Others felt that the memes were a natural response to a poorly designed phone. One Reddit user commented, “The Pixel 3 XL’s notch is just so distracting. I can’t believe they thought it was a good idea. But I do have to admit, some of the memes are pretty funny.” Another user wrote, “I think the memes are just a way for people to express their frustration with the phone’s design. It’s not necessarily mean-spirited, it’s just a way to cope with a phone that doesn’t look as good as it should.”

Conclusion

The Pixel 3 XL notch memes may have been short-lived, but they will forever be remembered as one of the internet’s funniest jokes. While some users may have found the memes to be mean-spirited, they were a natural response to a phone that was poorly designed. Whether you loved or hated the Pixel 3 XL’s notch, there’s no denying that the memes were hilarious.

In recent years, we have seen the emergence of a new trend in the world of memes – the pixel meme face. These memes feature a simple, pixelated image of a face, usually with exaggerated expressions, and have become increasingly popular in online communities. In this article, we will explore the origins of the pixel meme face, its rise in popularity, and offer tips on how to create your own pixel meme face.

The Origins of Pixel Meme Face

The origins of pixel meme face can be traced back to the early days of the internet, when pixel art was a popular form of digital art. Artists would create intricate images using only a limited number of pixels, often resulting in a charmingly retro aesthetic. As the internet evolved, so did pixel art, with artists using it to create everything from video game sprites to digital illustrations.

It wasn’t until the rise of memes, however, that pixel art truly found its place in popular culture. The first pixel meme faces appeared in the early 2010s, with simple, blocky faces that were easy to create and share. These early memes were often used to express emotions, with popular iterations including “rage face” and “troll face.”

The Rise of Pixel Meme Face

As social media and online communities grew, so did the popularity of pixel meme face. The simplicity of these memes made them easy to create and share, and soon they became a staple of internet culture. New iterations of pixel meme face emerged, including “dank meme face,” “pepe the frog,” and “wojak.”

Despite their simplicity, pixel meme faces have proven to be incredibly versatile. They can be used to express a wide range of emotions, from joy and excitement to anger and despair. They can also be customized with different expressions, accessories, and captions, making them a favorite of meme creators and enthusiasts alike.

How to Create Your Own Pixel Meme Face

If you want to create your own pixel meme face, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, decide on the expression you want to convey. Pixel meme faces are all about exaggerated emotions, so think about the feeling you want to express and how you can convey it with a simple image.

Next, choose your pixel art software. There are a variety of programs available for creating pixel art, from free online tools to more advanced software like Adobe Photoshop or GIMP. Choose a program that you feel comfortable with and start experimenting.

When creating your pixel meme face, keep in mind the limitations of the medium. Pixel art is all about working within a limited number of pixels, so keep your design simple and focused. Experiment with different expressions, accessories, and captions until you find the perfect combination.

“I think pixel meme faces have become so popular because they’re relatable. We all have those moments where we feel like we need to express ourselves in a big way, and pixel meme faces give us a fun and creative outlet to do that.”

So next time you’re feeling a strong emotion, consider creating your own pixel meme face – who knows, it might just go viral!

In the age of social media and constant connectivity, memes have become a staple of internet culture. From the classic “Bad Luck Brian” to the more recent “Woman Yelling at a Cat,” memes have taken on a life of their own, spreading across the web and bringing laughs to millions. But now, a new trend is emerging: pixel art de memes.

What is Pixel Art de Memes?

Pixel art de memes is a style of digital art that takes popular memes and recreates them in a pixelated format. The result is a retro-inspired image that harkens back to the early days of video games and computing. The trend has gained popularity in recent years, particularly on social media platforms like Instagram and Reddit.

The Appeal of Pixel Art de Memes

So, what is it about pixel art de memes that has captured the attention of so many? For starters, it offers a fresh take on classic memes, breathing new life into tired jokes and making them feel relevant again. Additionally, the pixelated style is nostalgic and familiar to many, evoking feelings of nostalgia and warmth. According to digital artist and meme enthusiast, Sarah Johnson, “Pixel art de memes is a great way to combine two things that people love: memes and retro video games. It’s a fun and playful way to engage with internet culture and create something unique.”

The Rise of Pixel Art de Memes

Pixel art de memes has been steadily gaining popularity over the past few years, with more and more artists and creators jumping on board. The trend has even caught the attention of major brands, with companies like Nike and Coca-Cola using pixel art de memes in their marketing campaigns. According to Johnson, “The rise of pixel art de memes is a testament to the power of internet culture. It’s amazing to see how something as simple as a meme can evolve into a full-blown art form.”

Response from the Community

The pixel art de memes trend has garnered a lot of attention from both the art and meme communities. One Reddit user, u/MemeLover69, commented, “I love pixel art de memes! It’s such a fun and creative way to engage with internet culture. I can’t wait to see what people come up with next.” However, not everyone is a fan of the trend. Twitter user, @MemeHater123, tweeted, “Pixel art de memes is just lazy. It’s just taking something that already exists and putting a retro filter on it. Where’s the originality?”
