Since the early days of the internet, memes have been a staple of online culture. From the classic ‘rickrolling’ to the more recent ‘distracted boyfriend,’ memes have become a language all their own. One of the newest forms of memes to emerge is the ‘meme em quadrinhos,’ or comic meme, which takes the traditional format of a comic strip and adds a humorous twist.

What Are Memes Em Quadrinhos?
Comic memes, or memes em quadrinhos, are a type of meme that uses the format of a comic strip to tell a humorous story or convey a joke. They typically consist of three to six panels, with each panel containing an image and a caption. The captions often play off of each other, building up to a punchline in the final panel.
One of the benefits of using the comic strip format is that it allows for a more complex story to be told than with a traditional meme. The multiple panels allow for more context and character development, making the jokes more nuanced and layered.
The Origins of Memes Em Quadrinhos
While it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly when the first comic meme was created, they first began to gain popularity in Brazil in the early 2010s. Brazilian artist Rafael Koff created a series of comic memes that became wildly popular on social media, inspiring others to create their own.
Today, comic memes have spread beyond Brazil and can be found on social media platforms around the world. They continue to evolve and adapt to new cultural contexts and trends, making them a dynamic form of internet humor.
Why Are Memes Em Quadrinhos So Popular?
Part of the appeal of comic memes is their accessibility. They rely on visual humor rather than language, making them accessible to people from different cultures and language backgrounds. Additionally, the comic strip format allows for a more complex story to be told, which can be more engaging for the viewer.
Another reason for the popularity of comic memes is their shareability. Like all memes, they are designed to be shared and spread across the internet. Their humorous nature makes them particularly appealing for sharing on social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
What Do People Think About Memes Em Quadrinhos?
Opinions on comic memes are mixed. Some people appreciate their humor and creativity, while others find them juvenile or unoriginal. However, many agree that they are a fun and lighthearted form of internet humor that can bring people together.
One Reddit user commented, “I love comic memes because they’re like a mini story that you can follow along with. They’re more engaging than a lot of other memes out there.” Another user disagreed, saying, “I don’t really get the appeal of comic memes. They just seem like a cheap knockoff of actual comics.”
How to Create Your Own Memes Em Quadrinhos
Creating your own comic memes is relatively simple. All you need is an idea and some basic image editing software. Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Choose Your Images
Choose a series of images that tell a story. These can be photographs or illustrations. Make sure that the images are clear and easy to understand.
Step 2: Add Captions
Add captions to each image that build up to a punchline. Keep the captions short and snappy, and make sure that they work together to tell a cohesive story.
Step 3: Put It All Together
Use image editing software to put the images and captions together in a comic strip format. Make sure that the panels flow smoothly from one to the next, and that the punchline is clear in the final panel.
The Future of Memes Em Quadrinhos
As with all memes, it’s difficult to predict what the future holds for comic memes. However, it’s likely that they will continue to evolve and adapt to new cultural contexts and trends.
One thing is for sure: comic memes are here to stay. They have become a beloved form of internet humor, and will continue to make people laugh and bring them together for years to come.
