It’s been almost a decade since the release of the animated film, Cars, and its lovable protagonist, Lighting McQueen, is still making waves. Except, this time, it’s not for his racing skills or his charming personality. Instead, it’s for the hilarious meme that features a bed inspired by the character himself.

The Birth of the Lighting McQueen Bed Meme

The meme first started when a Reddit user posted a photo of a kid’s bed shaped like Lighting McQueen. The bed featured the character’s iconic red body, lightning bolt decals, and even had wheels that resembled the ones on McQueen’s race car. The post quickly went viral and sparked a series of memes that had people in stitches.

What made the meme even funnier was the fact that the bed was clearly designed for kids, which meant that grown adults couldn’t fit in it comfortably. This led to a slew of memes that poked fun at the bed’s size and the absurdity of sleeping in a car-shaped bed.

The Rise of the Lighting McQueen Bed Meme

As with any viral meme, the Lighting McQueen bed quickly made its way to other social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. People from all over the world started sharing their own versions of the bed or creating hilarious memes that featured it.

One popular meme featured a photo of a giant Lighting McQueen bed being transported on a flatbed truck. The caption read, “When you order a Lighting McQueen bed online vs. when it arrives.” The meme perfectly captured the disappointment of receiving a product that doesn’t live up to your expectations.

The Hilarious Comments from People Who Know It

People who have seen the meme can’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it. One Reddit user commented, “I can’t believe this is real. I mean, who would want to sleep in a car-shaped bed?” Another user joked, “I bet the bed comes with its own set of traffic lights.”

Even celebrities like Chrissy Teigen and John Legend got in on the fun. Teigen shared a photo of the bed on her Twitter account with the caption, “This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen, and I need it.” Legend replied, “I’m pretty sure it violates several traffic laws.”

The Lighting McQueen Bed Meme in 2023

Although the Lighting McQueen bed meme first started in 2021, it’s still going strong in 2023. People continue to share their own versions of the bed or create new memes that feature it. The meme has even spawned a new trend of car-shaped furniture and accessories.

Whether you love it or hate it, there’s no denying that the Lighting McQueen bed meme has left a lasting impact on the internet. It’s a hilarious reminder that sometimes, the most ridiculous things can bring us the most joy.
