The Mask Saga
The use of masks has become an integral part of our lives in the post-COVID era. While masks are essential for our safety, they can often be uncomfortable and suffocating. Memes related to masks have become popular on social media, with people sharing their hilarious experiences of wearing masks. For instance, a meme with a picture of a cat wearing a mask with the caption “I’m not sure if I’m doing this right” has been widely circulated.
Another popular meme shows a person wearing a mask while eating, with the caption “I can’t taste my food with this mask on.” While this may sound funny, it also highlights the importance of removing masks while eating and drinking to avoid contamination.
Hand Hygiene Humor
Washing our hands frequently and thoroughly is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of infections. However, it can be boring and time-consuming. To make hand hygiene more fun, people have started sharing memes related to hand washing. For example, a meme with a picture of a person washing their hands while singing “Happy Birthday” twice has become popular.
Another meme shows a person washing their hands with the caption “When you wash your hands but then touch the faucet without a paper towel.” This meme serves as a reminder to use a paper towel or tissue to turn off the faucet after washing hands to avoid contamination.
Airborne Precautions Parody
Following airborne precautions is vital to prevent the spread of airborne infections. However, wearing masks and using negative pressure rooms can be intimidating for some people. To lighten up the mood, people have created memes related to airborne precautions. For example, a meme with a picture of a person wearing a mask and goggles with the caption “I feel like a scientist” has been shared widely on social media.
Another popular meme shows a person wearing a mask with the caption “My glasses fog up every time I wear a mask” with a picture of a person wearing glasses with fogged-up lenses. This meme highlights the importance of wearing masks correctly to avoid fogging up glasses and compromising vision.
