Destiny has always been a game that has kept us on the edge of our seats, with its gripping storyline and intense gameplay. But did you know that it’s also a goldmine for memes? Over the years, the Destiny community has come up with some of the funniest and most relatable memes out there. In this article, we’ll be taking a look at some of our favorites.
Table of Contents
The “Raid Night” Meme
One of the most popular Destiny memes out there is the “Raid Night” meme. This one usually features a group of friends huddled around a table, with the caption “When it’s Raid Night.” The image is usually accompanied by a series of panels that show the group getting progressively more drunk and rowdy as the night goes on. It’s a hilarious take on the all-too-real experience of trying to coordinate a raid with your friends.
Response from the Community
“I once had a friend who got so drunk during a raid that he fell asleep mid-fight. We had to finish the raid without him, and he woke up the next morning with no memory of what had happened.”
The “Gjallarhorn” Meme
Gjallarhorn was one of the most sought-after weapons in the original Destiny game. It was so rare that it became a meme in and of itself. Players would post screenshots of their characters holding Gjallarhorn with captions like “I finally got it!” or “My life is complete.” The meme became so popular that Bungie, the developers of Destiny, even acknowledged it by giving away a free Gjallarhorn to all players in the game’s final year.
Response from the Community
“I remember spending hours grinding for Gjallarhorn, only to have my friend get it on his first try. I was so jealous, but looking back, it’s kind of funny.”
The “Destiny Dad” Meme
The Destiny Dad meme is all about poking fun at the older players in the community. These are the guys who have been playing since the original game, and they usually have a lot of wisdom to impart to the younger players. The meme usually features an older character with a gruff voice and a no-nonsense attitude, dispensing advice like “Get off my lawn” or “Back in my day, we had to grind for hours to get a single legendary item.”
Response from the Community
“I love the Destiny Dad memes. They’re a reminder that no matter how old you are, you can still have fun playing video games.”
The “Titan Punch” Meme
This meme is all about the power of the Titan class’s melee attack. The Titan Punch is a force to be reckoned with, and players have been known to use it to hilarious effect. The meme usually features a Titan punching something ridiculous, like a boss that’s 10 times their size or a teammate who’s being a little too annoying.
Response from the Community
“I once punched a teammate off a cliff during a raid. It was totally worth it.”
The “Loot Cave” Meme
The Loot Cave was a legendary spot in the original Destiny game where players could grind for hours and get tons of loot. It became so popular that Bungie eventually had to patch it out of the game. But the memory of the Loot Cave lives on in the form of one of the most popular Destiny memes of all time. The meme usually features a player standing in front of a cave with the caption “Ah, memories.”
Response from the Community
“I remember spending hours at the Loot Cave, just shooting into it and waiting for the loot to drop. It was so satisfying.”
