The Best Tanjiro Memes of 2023
1. “I Will Become the Strongest Demon Slayer!”
This meme takes a scene from the early episodes of Demon Slayer, in which Tanjiro declares his intention to become the strongest demon slayer. The meme usually features a photo of someone or something that is unlikely to become powerful, with Tanjiro’s quote superimposed over the image. For example, there’s a meme that shows a photo of a cat staring at a toy mouse, with the caption “I will become the strongest hunter!”
2. “Nezuko, Get in the Box!”
One of the running gags in Demon Slayer is that Tanjiro has to carry his younger sister, Nezuko, around in a wooden box, since she has been turned into a demon. This has led to a meme in which Tanjiro tells various characters to “get in the box,” usually in situations where there is no box to be found. For example, there’s a meme that shows Tanjiro telling a group of people waiting for a bus to “get in the box.”
3. “Tanjiro’s Earrings”
Tanjiro’s earrings are a key part of his character design, and fans have taken notice. There’s a meme that shows Tanjiro’s earrings photoshopped onto various celebrities or characters from other anime series. For example, there’s a meme that shows Goku from Dragon Ball Z wearing Tanjiro’s earrings, with the caption “This is what happens when you spend too much time on the internet.”
