In 2023, the internet was rocked by the emergence of a dangerous meme surrounding Cleveland Browns quarterback, Baker Mayfield. This meme, which started as a harmless joke, quickly spiraled out of control and became a serious issue for Mayfield and his family. In this article, we’ll dive into the origins of the meme, why it’s so dangerous, and what you can do to help stop it.

The Origins of the Baker Mayfield Meme

The meme in question started out innocently enough. It was a picture of Mayfield wearing a Cleveland Browns jersey with the words “Dangerous” written across it. The picture quickly spread across social media, with fans and even some media outlets using it to hype up Mayfield’s on-field abilities. However, things took a dark turn when some fans started using the meme to harass Mayfield and his family.

According to Mayfield, the harassment started off with fans sending him messages on social media using the “Dangerous” meme. However, things quickly escalated when fans started showing up at his home and threatening him and his family. Mayfield even had to involve the police to deal with some of the more serious threats.

Why the Baker Mayfield Meme is Dangerous

At first glance, the “Dangerous” meme may seem harmless. However, when it’s used to harass and threaten someone, it becomes a serious issue. In Mayfield’s case, the meme was used to target him and his family, which caused them a lot of stress and anxiety. The fact that fans were showing up at his home is particularly disturbing and shows just how far some people are willing to go to harass and intimidate others.

On top of the personal toll it took on Mayfield and his family, the meme also had serious implications for his career. Mayfield is a public figure, and anything that affects his mental health and well-being can also affect his performance on the field.
