The creators of the show never intended for this clip to become a meme, but the internet has a way of taking things out of context and turning them into something else entirely.
The train meme gif first gained popularity around 2015, when it was used as a reaction gif on social media. The gif shows the train chugging along, then suddenly derailing and crashing off the track. This became a popular way for people to express their frustration or disappointment in a situation.

One popular use of the train meme gif is to insert it into videos of accidents or fails. For example, if someone falls off a skateboard, the train can be added to the video, crashing into the person.
Another popular use of the train meme gif is in political memes. This led to countless memes featuring the train crashing into things, such as Hillary Clinton or the Democratic Party.
