The Origin of the Licking Meme Template
The licking meme template first gained popularity in late 2022, when a photo of a dog licking a window went viral on social media. People started adding captions to the photo, imagining what the dog might be thinking as it licked the glass. The trend quickly spread, and soon people were creating their own photos and memes using the same concept.
One of the reasons why the licking meme template is so popular is because of its versatility. It can be used for almost any situation, and the captions can be as silly or as serious as you want them to be. Plus, there’s something inherently funny about seeing a person or animal licking something unexpected.
How to Create Your Own Licking Meme
If you want to join in on the licking meme trend, it’s actually pretty easy to create your own. All you need is a photo of someone or something licking something, and a funny caption to go with it. You can use a photo you’ve taken yourself, or you can find one online. Just make sure that you have permission to use the photo if it’s not yours.
Once you have your photo and caption, you can use a meme generator website or app to create your meme.
