How Did This Trend Start?
The origins of this trend can be traced back to a single tweet from @FortniteMemes on Twitter. The tweet featured a photoshopped image of Donald Trump holding a pickaxe in front of a Fortnite background, with the caption “Donald Trump playing Fortnite in the White House be like…”
Almost immediately, the tweet went viral, with thousands of retweets and likes. From there, it didn’t take long for the trend to take off. People started creating their own Donald Trump Fortnite memes, featuring the former president in various Fortnite-related scenarios.
The Memes
Some of the most popular Donald Trump Fortnite memes include:
1. Trump Building a Wall in Fortnite
This meme features Donald Trump building a wall in Fortnite, referencing his controversial plan to build a wall along the United States-Mexico border during his presidency. The image is often accompanied by captions like “When you’re trying to keep the enemy out of your base.”
2. Trump Dancing in Fortnite
Another popular meme features Donald Trump performing one of Fortnite’s signature dances, such as the floss or the orange justice. The meme is often accompanied by captions like “When you finally win a game of Fortnite.”

Some people have even created custom Fortnite skins featuring Donald Trump. These skins often feature him wearing his signature red tie and a suit jacket, and carrying a weapon like a pickaxe or a grenade launcher.
The Response
The response to these memes has been mixed. Some people find them hilarious, while others find them distasteful. One Twitter user wrote, “I never thought I’d see the day when Donald Trump and Fortnite would be mentioned in the same sentence, let alone in the same meme.”
Others have criticized the memes for making light of serious political issues. One Reddit user commented, “I get that it’s just a joke, but there are real people who have been negatively affected by Donald Trump’s policies. Turning him into a meme just feels disrespectful.”
Conclusion
Love them or hate them, there’s no denying that Donald Trump Fortnite memes are the latest trend in 2023. Whether they’ll stand the test of time or fade into obscurity remains to be seen, but for now, they’re providing plenty of entertainment for Fortnite fans around the world.
