The Best Gaming Memes of 2022
One of the most popular memes of 2022 was the “NPC” meme. This meme features a non-playable character from a video game with a dialogue box that says something that sounds like it was written by a robot. The joke is that NPCs in video games tend to have very repetitive and robotic dialogue.
Another popular meme was the “Gamer Girl Bath Water” meme. This meme poked fun at a controversial trend where a gamer girl was selling her bath water to her followers. The meme featured images of other gamers selling ridiculous items, such as “Gamer Boy Sweat”.
The “Jedi Fallen Order” meme was also popular in 2022. This meme featured a screenshot from the game with the main character saying “I’m not a Jedi yet” and a reply from a stormtrooper saying “You will be”. The meme was a reference to a famous line from Star Wars and was used to poke fun at the difficulty of the game.
The Impact of Gaming Memes
Gaming memes have become a way for gamers to connect with each other and share their love for their favourite games. They allow us to laugh at the quirks and idiosyncrasies of the gaming world and to bond over our shared experiences. They also provide a way for gamers to express their frustrations with the industry or with specific games.
However, gaming memes can also be harmful. They can perpetuate harmful stereotypes and contribute to toxic behaviour within the gaming community. It’s important to remember that while memes are meant to be funny, they can have real-world consequences.
