The “Pulling for That One Character” Meme
One of the most relatable gacha memes out there is the “pulling for that one character” meme. This meme usually involves a player spending a considerable amount of resources to try and get a specific character from a gacha game, only to end up getting everything but the character they wanted. According to a Reddit user, “I’ve been playing gacha games for years now, and this meme never gets old. It’s frustrating, but it’s also funny because we’ve all been there.”
The “When You Finally Get the Character You Wanted” Meme
On the other hand, there’s also the “when you finally get the character you wanted” meme. This meme usually features a character celebrating their newfound acquisition, often to hilarious effect. It’s like all your hard work has finally paid off.”
The “F2P vs. Whales” Meme
Gacha games often have a significant gap between free-to-play (F2P) players and “whales,” or players who spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on the game. This meme often plays on this divide, with F2P players feeling like they’re constantly being left behind. A Discord user shared, “This meme is hilarious, but it’s also kind of sad because it’s true. Sometimes it feels like you can’t compete unless you’re willing to spend a lot of money on the game.”
The “Game Updates Be Like” Meme
Finally, there’s the “game updates be like” meme. This meme often pokes fun at the constant updates that gacha games receive, which can sometimes feel overwhelming for players. One commenter on a gacha game forum stated, “This meme is so relatable because it feels like there’s always a new update or event happening in gacha games. It’s hard to keep up sometimes.” In conclusion, gacha memes are a fun and relatable way to express different emotions and frustrations that come with playing gacha games.
